Russia strikes Ukraine with 112 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

Tonight, August 7, Russia launched 112 drones at Ukraine. The Air Force destroyed most of the Russian drones, but more than 20 hits were recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to the Ukrainian military, starting on the evening of June 6, Russia attacked with 112 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of dummy drones.
The launches were carried out from the territory of Russia (Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk) and the temporarily occupied Crimea (Chauda, Hvardiyske).
Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and anti-drone systems were involved in repelling the Russian air strike.
According to preliminary data as of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 89 Russian drones, including Shahed, in the northern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.
"23 drones were recorded hitting 11 locations, and downed (debris) falling at three locations," the report says.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
Last night, Russians attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones. Explosions were heard in Dnipro, Pavlohrad, and Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the Russian strikes, residential infrastructure was damaged, and there were casualties among the population.
In Pavlohrad, a summer house and a car caught fire as a result of the Russian attack. In the Kryvyi Rih district, an unused building burned down, and in Kryvyi Rih itself, a modular house burned down. The head of the city's Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, specified that 10 Russian Shahed drones were recorded in Kryvyi Rih.
Early in the morning on August 7, an explosion was heard in Mykolaiv. Shortly before that, an air raid alert was declared in the region.
