Russia strikes Ukraine overnight: High-rise in Dnipro hit, Mykolaiv on fire

On the night of September 20, Russia launched a massive attack on Dnipro, Mykolaiv, and other Ukrainian cities. The enemy struck with missiles and drones, damaging residential buildings and other infrastructure.
RBC-Ukraine reports everything that is known about the overnight drone strike.
Dnipro
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said that because of the enemy attack he did not sleep all night, and in the morning the Russians struck a residential building with a missile.
"I haven’t slept all night. The bastards hit a residential high-rise with a missile… Details will come from the military administration," he wrote at 07:05.
It should be noted that during the night the enemy repeatedly tried to attack the city with drones. Because of this, many series of explosions were heard.
As of the morning, cruise missiles were detected in Ukrainian airspace, including some heading toward Dnipro. Local social media reported heavy smoke in the city after the explosions, as well as power and water outages.
At this stage, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, confirmed that Dnipro and the region were attacked with drones and missiles.
"In Dnipro and the surrounding area, several fires broke out. An apartment building, private houses, outbuildings, and garages were damaged. There is also destruction at industrial facilities," he wrote.
Lysak also added that, according to preliminary data, one person was killed and 13 others were injured as a result of the enemy attack.
"Most of the injured were hospitalized in moderate condition. One man is in serious condition," the head of the administration added.
Updated at 08:50. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration reported that the number of injured in Dnipro has risen to 26, with 14 hospitalized.
"A 55-year-old man is in serious condition. He has burns covering 70% of his body. Medical staff are fighting for his life," Lysak said.

According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, the city of Pavlohrad in Dnipropetrovsk region was also attacked overnight by drones and ballistic missiles.
The head of the regional administration reported that an industrial facility was damaged and a fire broke out there.
Mykolaiv and region
By morning, it became clear that the enemy also carried out a combined strike on Mykolaiv. According to the head of the regional administration, Vitalii Kim, Russia targeted the city with missiles and drones.
"Industrial infrastructure was attacked, and fires broke out. At this time, there is no information on casualties," Kim said.
He also reported that damage was recorded in the region. In particular, in the Bashtanka district, Russian forces attacked a farm in the Snihurivka community overnight with drones. A warehouse fire occurred, and the blast damaged private houses and two vehicles.
Kyiv region
It was also a restless night for Kyiv region, which was targeted with drones and missiles. According to the head of the regional administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, the consequences of the Russian attack were recorded in the Bucha, Boryspil, and Obukhiv districts. Specifically:

In the Boryspil district, about 10 garage units were damaged;

In the Obukhiv district, a private residential building caught fire as a result of the attack;

In the Bucha district, debris from a downed target caused a fire that destroyed five cars. The fire has now been extinguished.
Khmelnytskyi region
According to the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhii Tiurin, as a result of the enemy attack in the Dunaivtsi community, the body of a man born in 1979 was found while extinguishing a fire in one of the houses.
Two other people sought medical attention. In the region, two houses were destroyed, and approximately 20 residential buildings were damaged.
Odesa region
Odesa was also struck by the enemy. A fire broke out in a warehouse of a farm, and storage facilities containing agricultural machinery were destroyed.
