Russia strikes Odesa port: Syrians killed, ships damaged

Russian troops launched a missile attack on the port in Odesa on the evening of March 11. Ships and infrastructure were damaged, and foreigners were killed, according to Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba.
Russian ballistic missile damaged the Barbados-flagged MJ PINA. At the time of the attack, the vessel was loading wheat for export to Algeria.
The Russian attack killed four Syrian citizens. The youngest victim was 18, the oldest was 24. According to Kuleba, two more people were injured: a Ukrainian and a Syrian. They are being provided with the necessary assistance.

Kuleba added that another ship, berths, and grain storage facilities were also damaged.
“It is important that the port infrastructure is protected from terror and that free and safe navigation is guaranteed. We must continue to strengthen our air defense, use the power of arms and the power of diplomacy to achieve lasting peace and security,” Kuleba emphasized.
As of 9:13 a.m. Kyiv time, according to the prosecutor's office, the attack took place around 8:17 p.m. Kyiv time, on March 11, preliminary, with an Iskander-M ballistic missile. Russian attack killed four foreign nationals - the crew members, another crew member, and a port employee were injured and taken to the hospital.
Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case on the fact of committing a war crime that caused the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Russian night strikes on Ukraine
On the night of March 12, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles. Drone strikes were recorded in Sumy and Kharkiv.
Russian drones also attacked Dnipro. Several fires broke out at infrastructure facilities. As of the morning, rescuers were extinguishing one fire.
In addition, the Russian army launched a double ballistic missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. A civilian infrastructure facility was hit. As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, there was one casualty and five injured. One of the wounded is in severe condition.
