Russia strikes Kyiv with drones: Consequences reported
The wreckage of a Russian drone fell in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv on January 16. As a result, a car was damaged, according to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko.
“A car was damaged as a result of the fall of Russian drone debris in the Solomianskyi district. Fortunately, no one was injured,” he said.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko clarified that the falling debris tore up the engine and partially the interior of the car. There was no fire.
The head of the Kuiv City Military Administration reported that Russian drone debris fell in another district of Kyiv. According to him, a Russian drone fragment fell in Dniprovskyi district. As a result, there is minor damage to the facade, but no casualties.

On the afternoon of January 16, explosions were heard in Kyiv. Before that, the capital was put on air alert. The cause was a Russian attack drone flying toward the city.
The mayor of Kyiv noted that air defense was operating in the city center.
On the night of January 16, Russians launched 55 drones at Ukraine from four directions. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 34 Russian drones, and another 18 drones were lost in the area. Air defense was operating in 11 regions of Ukraine.
Several Russian drones hit a farm in the Cherkasy region. Drone debris also damaged private homes in Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
