On the night of September 9, at around 3 a.m., Russians launched air strikes on Kharkiv and its suburbs. There was damage to private households and residential buildings, according to the Kharkiv Prosecutor's Office.

Law enforcement officers have launched pre-trial investigations into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv, private households, outbuildings, a garage, and a car were damaged. A fire broke out as a result of Russian shelling.

In the village of Mala Danylivka, Kharkiv district, Russians damaged the houses of residents.

No casualties were reported as a result of another Russian attack in the Kharkiv region.

"From the recovered wreckage, law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that Russia used a FAB-250 from the UMPK," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.

Prosecutors and police investigators continue to document war crimes committed by the Russian invaders.

Background

On the night of September 9, an air alert was declared in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and many regions of Ukraine due to the threat of Russian air strikes. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces were deployed in the Kyiv region, as well as in the capital.

According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, a fire broke out at the site of one of the places struck by Russia.

In the morning, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that during a Russian night attack, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 2 Russian Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 6 Shahed drones.
