Russia strikes Kharkiv late at night: 15 injured in attack
Late on September 20, Russian troops once again launched guided bombs on Kharkiv. Three districts of the city came under attack, with 15 people injured, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov.
According to Oleksandr Filchakov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the attack occurred around 8:45 p.m. (according to Kyiv time zone). The Russian troops used a Su-34 aircraft from Belgorod to launch three guided aerial bombs. Preliminary data suggests they were FAB-250s with UPKM kits.
Filchakov specified that in the city’s Kholodnohirskyi district, an enemy bomb struck a private residential property. In Shevchenkivskyi district, the bomb hit the roadway near a hospital. Meanwhile, in Kyivskyi district, the bomb landed on the grounds of an enterprise.
“As of now, eight people are reported injured, including two girls aged 10 and 17. The children have been diagnosed with acute stress reactions,” the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office notes.
Prosecutors and police investigators are currently working at the scene to document war crimes.
“A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war),” the statement reads.
Later, at 1:01 a.m., Ihor Terekhov reported that the number of injured had risen to 15. All victims, except the children, are in moderate condition. The two children and one adult are in mild condition. Eight of the injured have been hospitalized.
