Russia strikes grocery store in Ukraine's Zviahel: Fatalities reported

Two people were killed in Russia's attacks in the Zhytomyr region on September 12. In addition, gas stations and an industrial facility were targeted, according to Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration.

Strikes on civilian targets — about an hour ago, Russian forces struck Zviahel again, hitting a grocery store. Two people were killed in the attack.
The Regional Military Administration urges residents not to neglect safety rules and to make sure they remain in shelters during air raid alerts.

Details of the destruction
The State Emergency Service said that the Korosten and Zviahel districts came under attack.
The strikes sparked fires at two gas stations and inside a store.
In addition, two passenger cars and dry vegetation caught fire.

Despite the difficult security situation and the constant threat of repeated Russian attacks, rescuers extinguished all the fires.

Western Ukraine under attack on September 12
On September 12, Volyn and Rivne regions came under a massive Russian drone attack.
During the air raid alert, air defense forces were carrying out active combat missions in the regions, while local residents were urged to avoid infrastructure facilities, including gas stations.
In addition, Russian forces struck a passenger train in Lutsk. Thanks to the timely evacuation of passengers, casualties were avoided, but railway workers warned of possible delays and changes to train schedules.
