The Russian army attacked a convoy of grain trucks in the Sumy district with a missile on August 31. There is one fatality among the drivers and several others are injured, according to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, on August 31 at approximately 8:30 p.m., using methods prohibited by international law, Russian forces launched a missile attack on a convoy of grain trucks traveling on the Sumy-Kharkiv road near the village of Verkhnia Syrovatka in the Sumy district.

"As a result of the attack, a 23-year-old truck driver was killed, and four other drivers were injured. Additionally, one truck caught fire and around 20 others were damaged," the Prosecutor's Office reported.

Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is underway regarding the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2, Article 438 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code).
