Today during the day, on July 5, the Russians shelled a frontline village in the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs. Due to the attack, there were fires, as well as houses and vehicles were damaged, the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine reports.

"Today during the day, Russian aviation struck twice with guided aerial bombs at the village of Prykolotne, Vilkhuvatka community, Kupiansk district," the statement says.

Rescuers specified that as a result of enemy hits:

  • a warehouse building, a non-residential structure, and firewood burned over a total area of 850 square meters
  • another warehouse building was destroyed;
  • trucks and a private residential house were damaged.

"Fourteen rescuers and three units of equipment, including a medical team of the State Emergency Service, were working at the scene," the SES added.

The rescuers added that there were no casualties.

Shelling of Kharkiv region

Russian troops regularly shell the Kharkiv region. In particular, yesterday the enemy attacked Chuhuiv and Kupyansk with drones. Due to the attack, five people were injured, including one child.

This morning the reports indicated that due to yesterday's Russian attack on Chuhuiv, part of the city was left without power. To restore the electricity supply, the maximum number of equipment and energy workers were engaged.
