Enemy resources are spreading a new batch of false information claiming that women are being forcibly recruited into the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region.
Propagandists refer to an "anonymous resident of the Kharkiv region" and claim that women are being forced to sign contracts with the Ukrainian Armed Forces under the threat of criminal cases or loss of social benefits.
The Center for Countering Disinformation stressed that all this information is untrue. It also emphasized that in Ukraine, women can join military service only voluntarily. At present, there are no decisions or draft laws in the country regarding the compulsory mobilization of women.
According to the center, Russia is using such false information to intimidate residents of frontline regions and to discredit Ukraine’s Defense Forces and law enforcement agencies.
Earlier, Russian and pro-Russian media spread fake claims about an investigation involving the wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
It was also reported that Russia is gradually tightening control over its information space and access to global platforms.
