Russia shifts tactics in mass attacks on Ukraine: Rescue efforts getting harder

Russia is changing the tactics of massive and prolonged shelling of Ukraine. This complicates the work of rescuers who eliminate the consequences of the attacks, Spokesperson of the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine, Svitlana Vodolaha, reports.
"Tonight it was very difficult for rescuers to work, just like, in principle, during the past month, because the enemy is using a new tactic of attack, that is, these are prolonged attacks - first drones, then missiles, then drones again. That is, the tactics are changing both in scale and duration," Vodolaha said.
According to the spokesperson, during such prolonged attacks, there is a lot of destruction and many calls for rescuers, but the SES personnel cannot always promptly and safely go to the scene.
"Of course, we are changing algorithms, changing tactics, but we do not disclose them completely because the Russians are also monitoring our media. They study our tactics and adjust their attack tactics," Vodolaha added.
