On the night of June 19, explosions were heard in Kherson, and Russian troops struck residential areas. In particular, a hospital was attacked, and one person was wounded, according to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
"Throughout the night, Russian forces were covering residential areas of Kherson with fire. They were hitting residential buildings. In some places, fires broke out at the sites of the Russian attacks, which were quickly extinguished by firefighters," he says.

One of the hospitals was also hit, damaging the garage, two ambulances, and windows in one of the medical buildings.

In addition, according to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, a 44-year-old Kherson woman was injured in her own home.
"She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, where she was diagnosed with a shrapnel wound to the abdomen," Prokudin adds.
Russian shelling of Kherson
Russian troops are constantly shelling Kherson, which was liberated from occupation in the fall of 2022. Most often, the Russians hit the city from the left-bank part of the Kherson region, which has remained occupied since February 2022.
This is not the first time the hospital in Kherson has been shelled by Russia. For example, Russian troops shelled a hospital in Kherson in January. Two doctors were injured then.
