The situation in the Azov-Black Sea region remains relatively stable. Despite the Russian presence, no new Kalibr missile strikes from the sea were recorded overnight, says Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk.

"The situation remains largely unchanged in the Azov-Black Sea region overall. Regarding the seas, Russian forces have been almost entirely absent from the Azov Sea for nearly a year," the spokesperson explained.

According to him, in the Black Sea, Russians are still allowed to operate submarines.

"Because they are much harder to detect and destroy. The rest of the ships remain at their base. No use of Kalibr missiles occurred overnight. I can confirm that," Pletenchuk said.

At the same time, he noted that since these are submarines, this might indicate a rotation, as the previous submarine had been at sea for an extended period.

"That submarine was the one used in the last strike. They can replace it this way with another submarine," he explained.

Earlier today, Russia deployed carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles into the Black Sea.

As a result, Ukrainians were warned about the risk of missile strikes.

It is worth noting that back in May, Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk said the best way to assess the likelihood of Kalibr use is to monitor the air situation.

He explained that Russia often uses these missiles as part of combined attacks on Ukraine, including aviation. He specified that if there is information about aircraft preparation, it means missile launches from the Black Sea should be expected.
