Russia's Ministry says about million Ukraine's military losses since war begins
Russia continues to exaggerate the military losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the war. Allegedly, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has lost a million of its soldiers during hostilities, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports, citing its head, Andrei Belousov.
"Only this year, Ukraine's Armed Forces losses exceeded 560,000 servicemen killed and wounded. In total, they amounted to nearly one million people during the entire 'special military operation' (full-scale war - ed.)," the Head of the Ministry of Defense of Russia stated.
Belousov also added that Ukraine's losses since the start of the operation in the Kursk region amounted to "more than 40,000 servicemen."
Ukraine's losses in war
On December 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed Ukraine's losses in the war. According to the Ukrainian leader, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 43,000 soldiers. Furthermore, there have been 370,000 cases of medical assistance provided to the wounded, with approximately half of the injured returning to duty.
"Our people are defending their homes at the cost of their lives, and every life - whether of our soldiers or civilians - is precious to us," the President of Ukraine added.
Meanwhile, according to Ukraine's General Staff, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia's losses have exceeded 763,000 military personnel.
