In August, Russia lost about 36,810 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 6,383 pieces of weapons and military equipment, reports the Commander of Ukrainian Land Forces Oleksandr Pavliuk.

“In August 2024, the enemy's losses amounted to about 36,810 personnel,” the statement said.

Pavliuk specified the number and types of weapons and military equipment destroyed by the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In particular:

  • 193 tanks;
  • 557 armored combat vehicles;
  • 1517 artillery systems;
  • 44 MLRS;
  • 33 air defense systems;
  • 2065 units of motor vehicles;
  • 278 units of special equipment.

In addition, Ukraine's defenders shot down 5 airplanes, 2 helicopters, as well as 1539 operational and tactical level drones (OTL drones) and 150 enemy missiles.

Russian losses in the 71st Air Assault Brigade's area of responsibility near Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, amounted to almost 1,200 soldiers. The Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a video on Telegram of how the 71st separate ranger brigade soldiers destroyed the enemy.

Yesterday a video was released showing Ukrainian legionnaires scouts taking part in battles near Kupiansk, Kharkiv region.
