Russian forces continue to sustain significant losses on the battlefield in Ukraine. Ukrainian troops continue to target Russian personnel, weapons, and other military equipment.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 24, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
Ukrainian forces struck Russian drone command posts, a UAV depot, and logistics facilities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Ukrainian troops also cleared Russian positions in the Donetsk region where forces had been building up since the summer, while a massive Russian drone attack damaged civilian and transportation infrastructure across several districts of Kyiv.
