Russian losses in the war against Ukraine have already exceeded 1,108,510 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have eliminated an additional 1,110 occupiers, according to the latest summary from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 28, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,108,510 (+1110) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • Tanks - 11,211 (+7);
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,290 (+2);
  • Artillery systems - 33,231 (+45);
  • MLRS - 1,503 (+1);
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,223;
  • Aircraft - 427;
  • Helicopters - 345;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 64,385 (+454);
  • Cruise missiles - 3,747;
  • Warships/boats - 28;
  • Submarines - 1;
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 63,040 (+131);
  • Special equipment - 3,977.

Frontline situation

Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled more than 170 combat engagements. The most active sectors remain the Lyman, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivka directions.

In recent weeks, the situation on the Dobropillia front has intensified, with Russian forces launching an active offensive that was successfully stopped.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that Ukrainian troops have liberated 164.5 square kilometers of territory, while another 180.8 square kilometers have been cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

Syrskyi also detailed how the Ukrainian forces managed to halt the Russian advance near Dobropillia.
