Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 24: +970 troops and 43 artillery systems

Over the past day, from September 23 to 24, the Russians lost another 970 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed Russian tanks and artillery, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 24, 2025, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - approximately 1,104,550 (+970) Russian troops were eliminated;
- Tanks - 11,201 (+2);
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,285 (+3);
- Artillery systems - 33,095 (+43);
- MLRS - 1,496 (+1);
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,218;
- Aircraft - 426 (+2);
- Helicopters - 345;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 62,820 (+334);
- Cruise missiles - 3,747;
- Warships/boats - 28;
- Submarines - 1;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 62,616 (+130);
- Special equipment - 3973 (+4).
Situation on frontline
As of the evening of September 23, approximately 140 combat clashes were recorded on the front. Of these, 39 took place in the Pokrovsk direction.
Over the day, Russian troops carried out one missile strike and 31 airstrikes, used two missiles, and dropped 55 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy launched 1,925 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,176 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian defenders.
