Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 20: +1,070 troops and 31 artillery systems

Russia has lost 1,100,600 soldiers on the frontlines in its war against Ukraine. Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 1,070 Russian troops, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 20, 2025, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - approximately 1,100,600 (+1,070) Russian troops were eliminated;
- Tanks - 11,192 (+1);
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,280 (+2);
- Artillery systems - 32,927 (+31);
- MLRS - 1,492;
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,218;
- Aircraft - 422;
- Helicopters - 341;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 61,045 (+365);
- Cruise missiles - 3,718;
- Warships/boats - 28;
- Submarines - 1;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 62,128 (+124);
- Special equipment - 3,968.
Fighting on the frontlines
Recently, the situation in the Kupiansk direction has worsened. The enemy is attempting to enter the city through underground tunnels. However, Ukrainian soldiers are destroying the adversary.
It is worth noting that Kupiansk was already under Russian occupation in 2022. Ukrainian defenders liberated the city during the Kharkiv operation in the fall of that year.
