Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 8: +910 troops and 29 artillery systems

Over the past day, from September 7 to September 8, Russia lost 910 troops on the front lines. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed artillery systems, drones, and other Russian equipment, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 8, 2025, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - approximately 1,089,060 (+910) Russian troops were eliminated;
- Tanks - 11,168 (+5);
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,258 (+4);
- Artillery systems - 32,545 (+29);
- MLRS - 1,481;
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,217;
- Aircraft - 422;
- Helicopters - 341;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 57,278 (+461);
- Cruise missiles - 3,691 (+5);
- Warships/boats - 28;
- Submarines - 1;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 61,135 (+81);
- Special equipment - 3,961.
Situation on the front lines
As of the evening of September 7, there were 118 combat clashes on the front lines during the day. The largest number of battles was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, namely 34. Russia also suffered losses once again.
"According to preliminary data, 90 Russian troops were neutralized in this direction today, 54 of them irrevocably. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed one Russian tank, 6 vehicles, one piece of special equipment, and 1 drone control point; 2 cannons, 3 vehicles, and 9 shelters for Russian personnel were also damaged," the report said.
