Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 28: +1,470 troops
Russian losses in the war against Ukraine have now exceeded 650,000 soldiers. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,470 Russian troops, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to September 28, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 650,640 (+1470) Russian troops;
- tanks - 8,860 (+14);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 17,438 (+42);
- artillery systems - 18,733 (+55);
- MLRS - 1,203 (+4);
- anti-aircraft systems - 961 (+2);
- aircraft - 369;
- helicopters - 328;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 16,093 (+62);
- cruise missiles - 2,610 (+2);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 25,411;
- special equipment - 3,291 (+99).
Recently, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin increased the size of the Russian army by 180,000, bringing the total to 2,289,000 personnel. The number of active service members has risen to 1.5 million.
British intelligence emphasizes that Russia continues to entice conscripts to sign contracts in order to replenish its army for the war against Ukraine.
According to sources from RBC-Ukraine, the recruitment plan for contract soldiers in Russia is only 70% fulfilled.
