Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 1: +1,300 troops, 10 tanks and 22 artillery systems

Over the past 24 hours, from August 31 to September 1, Russia lost 1,350 soldiers in Ukraine. The total number of losses exceeded 616 thousand soldiers, according to the General Staff.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to September 1, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 616,300 (+1,350) people were killed;
- tanks - 8,592 (+10) units;
- armored personnel vehicles - 16,760 (+24) units;
- artillery systems - 17,636 (+22) units;
- MLRS - 1,176 units;
- air defense systems - 940 units;
- aircraft - 368 units;
- helicopters - 328 units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 14,507 (+36) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,557 (+1) units;
- warships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- motor vehicles and fuel tanks - 23,881 (+56) units;
- special equipment - 2,991 (+14) units.
According to a new report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), as of August 30 and 31, the Russian forces have made further advances in the Donetsk region. In particular, north of Chasiv Yar, southeast of Pokrovsk and west of Donetsk.
