Frontline situation
Ukrainian forces continued targeting Russian military infrastructure in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions overnight, striking a repair unit near Chystiakove and military supply depots near Makiivka and Horodyshche. The attacks aim to weaken Russia’s logistical capabilities and combat potential by disrupting equipment repairs and supplies supporting its troops.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry has claimed new battlefield gains in Ukraine in its weekly update published on Max, including the capture of five settlements and the thwarting of Ukrainian attempts to break out of alleged encirclements. However, the claims lack evidence, and even Russian military bloggers have questioned reports that Ukrainian forces are encircled in the Kharkiv region, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
