Over the past day, from May 30 to 31, Russian forces lost 1,250 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 54 artillery systems and 109 units of enemy automotive equipment, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to May 31, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 987,300 (+1,250) Russian troops were eliminated
  • tanks - 10,867 (+2);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,652 (+5);
  • artillery systems - 28,475 (+54);
  • MLRS - 1,400 (+2);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,173 (+1);
  • aircraft - 372;
  • helicopters - 336;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 38,215 (+145);
  • cruise missiles - 3,265;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 50,198 (+109);
  • special equipment - 3,902.

Situation on the frontlines

As of the evening of May 30, 149 combat clashes had been recorded on the front since the beginning of the day. The enemy launched the highest number of attacks in four directions in Donetsk region and in Kursk region.

In particular, 38 assault attempts took place on the Pokrovsk axis alone. As of 10:00 p.m., three clashes were still ongoing.
