Frontline situation

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine has reclaimed about 460 square kilometers of territory during its winter-spring offensive in the south, marking continued battlefield gains since the start of the year. At the same time, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, he firmly ruled out abandoning Donbas, warning that withdrawing Ukrainian troops would open the way for deeper Russian advances. Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine must maintain strong defensive lines and rejected territorial concessions in exchange for security guarantees.
