Russia's losses in Ukraine as of March 29: 820 troops and over 100 equipment units
The losses of Russia in the war against Ukraine have exceeded 440,000 soldiers. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders have eliminated another 820 Russian troops, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to March 29, 2024 are estimated as follows:
- Personnel: approximately 440,790 (+820) troops.
- Tanks: 6,922 (+8)
- APV (armored personnel vehicles): 13,264 (+27)
- Artillery systems: 10,991 (+28)
- MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems): 1,023 (+2)
- Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 735 (+6)
- Aircraft: 347
- Helicopters: 325
- UAV operational-tactical level: 8,656 (+56)
- Cruise missiles: 2,022 (+5)
- Warships/boats: 26
- Submarines: 1
- Vehicles and fuel tankers: 14,645 (+50)
- Special equipment: 1,807 (+7).
Frontline situation
Russian occupiers intensified attacks on the front during the winter. In particular, the Russians managed to capture Avdiivka and some neighboring villages. However, the Defense Forces are holding positions near Avdiivka, preventing the enemy from advancing further.

Earlier, the Ukrainian military also reported that the occupiers were seeking to capture Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. Battles in this part of the front continue.
