Over the past 24 hours, the number of Russian personnel killed or disabled in the war against Ukraine has increased by approximately 1,000, bringing the total losses to 1.22 million, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to January 19, 2026, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,227,440 (+1,020)
  • Tanks - 11,573 (+2)
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,922 (+3)
  • Artillery systems - 36,333 (+39)
  • MLRS - 1,617 (+1)
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,278
  • Aircraft - 434
  • Helicopters - 347
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 110,215 (+765)
  • Cruise missiles - 4,163
  • Warships/boats - 28
  • Submarines - 2
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 74,876 (+170)
  • Special equipment - 4,045 (+1).

Russia continues to increase the production of strike drones, which, according to Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, poses a threat not only to Ukraine but also to NATO countries in the European region.
