Russia's losses in Ukraine as of February 17: + 890 troops and 614 drones

Ukrainian units continue to inflict damage to Russian military and equipment. 890 Russian personnel were killed or injured in the past 24 hours, according to Ukraine's General Staff.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to February 17, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel — approximately 1,255,340 (+890);
- Tanks — 11,678 (+2);
- Armored combat vehicles — 24,045 (+3);
- Artillery systems — 37,323 (+4);
- Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,648;
- Air defense systems — 1,301;
- Aircraft — 435;
- Helicopters — 347;
- Operational-tactical UAVs — 136,073 (+614);
- Cruise missiles — 4,288 (+2);
- Ships/boats — 29;
- Submarines — 2;
- Automotive equipment and fuel trucks — 78,725 (+71);
- Special equipment — 4,071.

Frontline situation
On February 16, Russian troops attempted to break through into Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, with armored vehicles. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding lines, particularly in the northern part of the city.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops hit an area of Russian forces concentration in the Kalynivka area in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. They also struck a group of Russian troops in the Berezove area in the temporarily occupied territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
