Russia's losses in Ukraine as of February 28: Two more aircraft and 1060 Russian invaders
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated over a thousand more Russian invaders, bringing the total losses of the enemy army in personnel since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine to about 412,610 troops. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two Russian aircraft, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from 24.02.22 to 28.02.24 are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 412610 (+1060) Russian invaders were killed;
- tanks - 6570 (+14) units;
- armored combat vehicles - 12508 (+14) units;
- artillery systems - 1029 (+20) units;
- MLRS - 1000 units;
- air defense systems - 688 (+2) units;
- aircraft - 342 (+2) units;
- helicopters - 325 units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 7753 (+24) units;
- cruise missiles - 1912 units;
- ships/boats - 25 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- motor vehicles and tankers - 13112 (+47) units;
- special equipment - 1594 (+6) units.
Frontline situation on February 28
As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its morning report, 102 combat engagements were conducted on the frontline in Ukraine during the day.
Russian occupiers continue to exert pressure in the Avdiivka direction and have significantly intensified their activities in the Novopavlivka direction.
Two Russian aircraft destruction
Yesterday morning, February 27, it became known that a Russian Su-34 had been destroyed. The Ukrainian Defense Forces clarified that the enemy aircraft was downed on Monday, February 26.
Later, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Ukrainian military had shot down another Russian Su-34 fighter bomber. It was the second in a day.
In recent days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed 10 Russian aircraft. Since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have shot down 340 Russian aircraft.
