Ukrainian forces have eliminated another thousand Russian occupiers in the past day, bringing the total losses of the Russian army in personnel since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of our country to over 408,000 soldiers. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 49 Russian artillery systems and 2 multiple rocket launchers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to February 23, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel - approximately 408,240 (+1000) individuals eliminated;
  • Tanks - 6,526 (+3) units;
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles) - 12,410 (+37) units;
  • Artillery systems - 9,916 (+49) units;
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems) - 999 (+2) units;
  • Anti-aircraft warfart systems - 682 (+2) units;
  • Aircraft - 339 units;
  • Helicopters - 325 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 7,628 (+32) units;
  • Cruise missiles - 1,903 units;
  • Warships/boats - 25 units;
  • Submarines - 1 unit;
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers - 12,960 (+36) units;
  • Special equipment - 1,575 (+9) units.

Frontline situation as of February 23

In the morning summary on February 23, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 101 combat clashes on the fronts in Ukraine. Russian invaders continue to press and attempt to storm settlements in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Maryinka, and Avdiivka directions.

During the past day, the Defense Forces' aviation struck 6 areas of Russian personnel concentration and 3 air defense missile systems. In addition, missile forces units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck 4 other areas of personnel concentration, armaments, and military equipment, 1 logistics hub, 2 anti-aircraft defense facilities, and 1 enemy UAV ground control station.
