During the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the losses of Russia's army continue to grow, with updated data recording a significant reduction in Russian personnel and equipment in all key areas, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 19, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,197,860 (+1,220)
  • Tanks - 11,438 (+3)
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,772 (+2)
  • Artillery systems - 35,308 (+10)
  • MLRS - 1,575
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,263
  • Aircraft - 432
  • Helicopters - 347
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 92,713 (+109)
  • Cruise missiles - 4,073
  • Warships/boats - 28
  • Submarines - 2
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 70,853 (+64)
  • Special equipment - 4,029.

An incident involving the capsizing of a boat was reported at one of the yacht clubs in Mytishchi, near Moscow. According to reports, a relative of Russian President Vladimir Putin was on board.

On the night of December 22, Russia struck critical infrastructure in Odesa, which left part of one of the districts temporarily without electricity.
