On December 18, updated data on Russia's total losses since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine was released. The statistics cover the period from February 24, 2022, and reflect the dynamics of hostilities over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 18, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,193,300 (+950)
  • Tanks - 11,432 (+5)
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,758
  • Artillery systems - 35,232 (+27)
  • MLRS - 1,573 (+2)
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,263 (+1)
  • Aircraft - 432
  • Helicopters - 347
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 91,716 (+330)
  • Cruise missiles - 4,073
  • Warships/boats - 28
  • Submarines - 2
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 70,480 (+119)
  • Special equipment - 4,027.

The UK has stepped up preparations for the possible deployment of a peacekeeping contingent in Ukraine, while London stresses that such forces are seen as a tool to support the ceasefire and prevent new Russian attacks.

The United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with additional equipment and resources to strengthen its air defense system in the context of attacks on energy facilities and civilian infrastructure, with the new aid package designed to last through the winter period.
