Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 19: +1,530 troops, 51 drones, 27 armored vehicles
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that over the last day, from December 18 to 19, Russian losses at the front amounted to 1,530 soldiers, 27 armored combat vehicles, and 5 tanks.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 19, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 768,220 (+1,530) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9,576 (+5);
- armored personnel vehicle - 19,799 (+27);
- artillery systems - 21,178 (+14);
- MLRS - 1,256;
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,026 (+1);
- aircraft - 369 units;
- helicopters - 329 units;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 20,521 (+51);
- cruise missiles - 2,943;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 31,678 (+68);
- special equipment - 3,656 (+4).
Situation at front and Russian air attacks
According to the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Ukrainian Defense Forces succeeded near Toretsk, but the Russians are pressing near Kupiansk, Kreminna, and Pokrovsk.
Last night, Russia again attacked Ukraine on a large scale with Shahed kamikaze drones.
Kyiv raised the air alert three times because of the approaching drones. Ukrainian air defense forces were working.
On the evening of December 18, Russian troops shelled the village of Tsyrkuny in the suburbs of Kharkiv with artillery. The attack resulted in injuries among civilians.
