Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Friday morning, December 29, amounted to 850 occupants, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 357,520. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 13 tanks, 36 UAVs, and 26 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 29.12.23 are estimated to be

  • personnel - about 357520 (+850) killed;
  • tanks - 5953 (+13) units;
  • armored combat vehicles - 11033 (+18) units;
  • artillery systems - 8417 (+26) units;
  • MLRS - 938 (+3) units;
  • air defense systems - 620 (+3) units;
  • airplanes - 329 units;
  • helicopters - 324 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6539 (+36) units;
  • cruise missiles - 1620 units;
  • ships/boats - 23 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tankers - 11215 (+35) units;
  • special equipment - 1254 (+7) units.

The situation at the frontline

According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the enemy in the Avdiivka direction and continue to expand the bridgehead in the Kherson direction. There were 53 combat engagements over the past day. In particular, according to the Institute of War Studies, the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced near Bakhmut, southeast of Klishchiyivka, and continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
