Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Thursday morning, December 14, amounted to 1,300 troops, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 342, 800. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 10 tanks, 33 UAVs, and 22 armored personnel carriers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 14.12.23 are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 342800 (+1300) people were killed;
  • tanks - 5692 (+10) units;
  • armored combat vehicles - 10616 (+22) units;
  • artillery systems - 8088 (+12) units;
  • MLRS - 920 (+1) units;
  • air defense systems - 605 units;
  • airplanes - 324 units;
  • helicopters - 324 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6206 (+33) units;
  • cruise missiles - 1606 (+10) units;
  • ships/boats - 22 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tank trucks - 10675 (+13) units;
  • special equipment - 1185 (+9) units.

The situation at the frontline

According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold the line near Avdiivka and occupy positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. Over the past day, there were 120 combat engagements. In particular, according to the Institute of War Studies, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct offensive and defensive actions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled at least 51 Russian attacks in the Avdiivka direction. Ukrainian forces also continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
