Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 5: 1030 troops eliminated
Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Tuesday morning, December 5, amounted to 1,030 troops, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 333,840. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 7 tanks, 15 UAVs, and 15 armored combat vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 22 to December 05, 23 were approximately:
- personnel - about 333,840 (+1030) individuals;
- tanks - 5587 (+7) units;
- armored combat vehicles - 10,416 (+15) units;
- artillery systems - 7987 (+26) units;
- MLRS - 913 units;
- air defense systems - 605 (+3) units;
- airplanes - 323 units;
- helicopters - 324 units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6032 (+15) units;
- cruise missiles - 1570 (+1) units;
- ships/boats - 22 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- motor vehicles and tankers - 10,483 (+32) units;
- special equipment - 1148 (+7) units.
Situation at the front
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the morning of December 5, Russian invaders, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of the Ukrainian military in the Avdiivka sector, but to no avail. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Russian positions in a strip of trees south of Stepove, near Avdiivka, and recovered the lost positions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also took a position on the island of Bilohrudyi on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region.
