Fresh battlefield data from Ukraine indicates Russian forces suffered additional losses in personnel and military equipment during the past day.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 8, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
Yesterday, on August 7, Ukraine's Defense Forces continued striking Russian military targets in occupied Crimea, hitting an early-warning radar station, drone relay sites and a facility used to store and launch attack drones. Meanwhile, an explosion and fire were reported in the Russian city of Bryansk, while occupied Yalta came under a reported sea drone attack, prompting gunfire and the evacuation of beaches and waterfront areas.
