Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 31: +1,360 troops, 42 artillery systems

Over the course of August 30, Russia lost 1,360 soldiers in Ukraine. The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion has reached almost 615 thousand soldiers, according to the General Staff.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to August 31, 2024, are estimated to be
- personnel - about 614,950 (+1,360) people were killed;
- tanks - 8,582 (+8) units;
- armored personnal vehicles - 16,736 (+14) units;
- artillery systems - 17,614 (+42) units;
- MLRS - 1,176 (+1) units;
- air defense systems - 940 units;
- aircraft - 368 units;
- helicopters - 328 units;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 14,471 (+18) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,557 (+1) units;
- warships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- motor vehicles and fuel tanks - 23,825 (+62) units;
- special equipment - 2,977 (+10) units.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, as of the morning of August 31, Russians captured Stelmakhivka in the Svatove district, Luhansk region, in the Kupiansk sector. In the Pokrovsk sector, they planted a flag in a summer cottage near Karlivka and advanced within Novohrodivka. Near Donetsk, they advanced north of Kostiantynivka and northwest of Pobeda.
