Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 19: +890 troops and 66 artillery systems

Over the past day, from August 18 to 19, Russian forces lost another 890 soldiers on the battlefield. Ukrainian troops also destroyed 66 artillery systems, more than 200 drones, and enemy vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
The total combat losses of the Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to August 19, 2025, are approximately as follows:
- personnel - about 1,071,780 (+890) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 11,118;
- troop-carrying AFVs - 23148;
- artillery systems - 31,698 (+66);
- MLRS - 1,470 (+1);
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,208;
- aircraft - 422;
- helicopters - 340;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 51,894 (+209)
- cruise missiles - 3,558;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 59,060 (+123);
- special equipment - 3,942).
Situation on the front
As of the evening of August 18, a total of 133 combat engagements had been recorded on the front line during the day. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 48 Russian attacks, with 52 battles reported in this direction overall.
"In this sector, according to preliminary data, 150 enemy soldiers were neutralized, 95 of them permanently. In addition, Ukrainian troops destroyed two artillery pieces, two drone command posts, five motorcycles, eight vehicles, and 93 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles," the General Staff reported.
