Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 16: +1010 troops and 42 artillery systems

Over the past day, the Russian army lost 1,010 soldiers on the front. Military equipment, including tanks and drones, was also destroyed, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to August 16, 2025, are approximately as follows:
- personnel - about 1,069,050 (+1010) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 11,112 (+6);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 23,135 (+2);
- artillery systems - 31,540 (+42);
- MLRS - 1,467;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,207;
- aircraft - 422;
- helicopters - 340;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 51,342 (+152);
- cruise missiles - 3,558;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 58,733 (+137);
- special equipment - 3,942 (+2).
It should be recalled that the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced on one of the key sections of the front, namely the Lyman direction.
In addition, according to the General Staff, over the past day, from August 14 to 15, the enemy lost one aircraft, 940 personnel, and about 150 drones on the battlefield. Ukrainian forces also destroyed other equipment.
