Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 15: +940 troops and 40 artillery systems

Over the past day, from August 14 to 15, the enemy lost an aircraft, 940 personnel, and about 150 drones on the battlefield. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed other equipment, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The total combat losses of the Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to August 15, 2025, are approximately as follows:

Russia loses Su-30SM aircraft
On August 14, the Ukrainian Navy reported that a Russian Su-30SM fighter jet may have crashed in the area of Zmiinyi Island. In particular, the enemy was carrying out a mission southeast of the island, after which “the aircraft likely crashed for unknown reasons.”
The Navy also reported that Russians conducted a search and rescue operation, but at sea they found only wreckage of the aircraft. The pilots were not found.
