Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 14: +1,470 troops and 1,676 drones

Ukraine's military has published its latest update on Russian battlefield losses, detailing personnel casualties and equipment destroyed over the past 24 hours.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 14, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - nearly 1,464,440 (+1,470)
- Tanks ‒ 12,264 (+2)
- Armored fighting vehicles ‒ 25,141 (+11)
- Special equipment ‒ 4,524 (+2)
- Vehicles and fuel tanks ‒ 133,853 (+448)
- Unmanned ground vehicles ‒ 2,229 (+14)
- Artillery systems ‒ 47,870 (+46)
- MLRS ‒ 2,024 (+1)
- Air defense assets ‒ 1,565 (+3)
- Aircraft ‒ 439
- Helicopters ‒ 354

Frontline situation
Ukraine's Defense Forces struck several Russian military targets in occupied Crimea overnight, including the Saky airfield's control tower in Novofedorivka and a Russian Nebo-U radar system in Sevastopol.
The strikes also targeted a drone relay station, warehouses and a UAV command post, degrading Russia's ability to monitor airspace and operate attack drones.
A Russian drone deliberately struck a passenger train in Ukraine's Odesa region, killing the driver and his assistant.
The crew was trying to stop the train to evacuate passengers, and all 340 passengers were safely evacuated. Ukrainian officials condemned the strike as an attack on a civilian target.
