The new data from Ukraine's General Staff indicate that over the past day, Russia lost 980 servicemen while raging its aggressive war against Ukraine. Ukrainian military keeps fighting the enemy, destroying 1,945 drones and 65 artillery systems over the past 24 hours.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to April 7, 2026, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel — nearly 1,305,470 (+980);
  • Tanks — 11,841;
  • Armored combat vehicles — 24,364 (+4);
  • Artillery systems — 39,562 (+65);
  • Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,722 (+3);
  • Air defense systems — 1,340 (+2);
  • Aircraft — 435;
  • Helicopters — 350;
  • Operational-tactical UAVs — 223,341 (+1,945);
  • Cruise missiles — 4,517;
  • Ships/boats — 33;
  • Submarines — 2;
  • Automotive equipment and fuel tanks — 87,862 (+248);
  • Special equipment — 4,115 (+3).

Frontline situation

On April 6, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck the Russian military frigate Admiral Grigorovich in the port of Novorossiysk and the Syvash drilling rig. The frigate is equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles (eight units) and the Shtil-1 air defense system (24 missiles).

Moreover, Ukrainian forces pushed Russian troops north of the village of Ambarne, near the state border in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region. According to Deep State, Ukrainian troops advanced more than 3 km toward the state border and regained control of the forest area.
