Over the past day, from April 4 to 5, Russian forces lost 1,390 soldiers on the front lines. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 67 artillery systems, 105 drones, and 113 enemy vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 5, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 922,340 (+1,390) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,541 (+13);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 21,952 (+20);
  • artillery systems - 25,730 (+67);
  • MLRS - 1,350 (+1);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,124 (+1);
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 335;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 31,778 (+105);
  • cruise missiles - 3,123;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 42,954 (+113);
  • special equipment - 3,787.

"Due to the continuous receipt of updated intelligence data, it became necessary to adjust certain figures in the overall enemy losses—specifically UAVs and cruise missiles. The total number has been revised, while daily losses are reported as usual," the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated.
