Russia lost 960 troops in 24 hours, with total losses exceeding 1.32 million, alongside major losses in drones, artillery, and air defense systems, according to the General Staff of Ukraine.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to April 26, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel — nearly 1,325,650 (+960);
- Tanks — 11,892;
- Armored combat vehicles — 24,463 (+5);
- Artillery systems — 40,711 (+76);
- Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,753;
- Air defense systems — 1,354 (+1);
- Aircraft — 435;
- Helicopters — 350;
- Operational-tactical UAVs — 258,091 (+2,229);
- Cruise missiles — 4,579 (+30);
- Ships/boats — 33;
- Submarines — 2;
- Automotive equipment and fuel tanks — 90,582 (+160);

Frontline situation
Russia launched overnight strikes across multiple Ukrainian regions on April 25, hitting Kharkiv, Sumy, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia, while in Dnipro, about 10 people were injured, including a child, and residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged.
