Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 24: +Over 1,000 troops

Over the past day, from April 23 to 24, the Russian army lost 1,060 soldiers and 5 armored fighting vehicles on the front line, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 24, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 945,330 (+1,060) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10,694 (+3);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 22,312 (+5);
- artillery systems - 26,823 (+49);
- MLRS - 1369 (+1)
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,141;
- aircraft - 370;
- helicopters - 335;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 33,660 (+134);
- cruise missiles - 3,148;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 45,755 (+134);
- special equipment - 3,860.
Massive Russian attack
On the night of April 24, the Russian army launched a massive attack on Ukraine with missiles and Shahed drones.
In particular, after midnight, the enemy launched Kalibr cruise missiles.
Later, powerful explosions sounded in Kyiv due to the air defense forces engaging ballistic threats.
Around 04:32 a.m. Kyiv time, the Russians launched another missile attack on Ukraine. Kharkiv and Pavlohrad were hit.
Numerous residential buildings were reported damaged in several districts of Kyiv.
