Over the past day, from April 11 to 12, the Russian army lost 1,240 soldiers, two multiple launch rocket systems, and more than 50 artillery systems in the war against Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 12, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 931,450 (+1,240) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,591 (+11);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,055 (+7);
  • artillery systems - 25,092 (+49);
  • MLRS - 1,362 (+2);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,127;
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 335;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 32,278 (+78);
  • cruise missiles - 3,145;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 43,807 (+128);
  • special equipment - 3,798 (+2).

Night drone attack

Last night, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using Shahed kamikaze drones.

At around 2:00 a.m., explosions were heard in Odesa, as UAVs struck two districts of the city.

Shortly after 4:00 a.m., powerful explosions rocked Kyiv. As a result of the attack, warehouse facilities in one of the capital’s districts caught fire.

Russian drones also struck Kharkiv, injuring one person.
