Ukrainian defenders have eliminated a further 840 Russian invaders in the past 24 hours, bringing the total casualties of the enemy personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion to about 451,730 soldiers. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 9 Russian tanks and 34 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to April 12, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: about 451,730 (+840) individuals;
  • Tanks: 7,146 (+9) units;
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 13,698 (+19) units;
  • Artillery systems: 11,486 (+34) units;
  • MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems): 1,042 (+2) units;
  • Anti aircraft warfare systems: 755 (+1) units;
  • Aircraft: 347 units;
  • Helicopters: 325 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 9,161 (+57) units;
  • Cruise missiles: 2,087 (+18) units;
  • Warships/boats: 26 units;
  • Submarines: 1 unit;
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 15,339 (+41) units;
  • Special equipment: 1,888 (+6) units.

Frontline situation

According to the morning briefing from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on April 12, there were 78 combat engagements on the Ukrainian frontlines throughout the past day.

Military command added that the occupiers are attempting breakthroughs on the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka directions.
