Russia's Lavrov dismisses hopes of Ukraine returning to 2022 borders

Any claims or calculations suggesting that Ukraine will return to its 2022 borders are allegedly "political blindness," reports Russian media, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov made the remarks in response to comments by US President Donald Trump, who suggested that Ukraine could regain all of its territories and "even go further."
"Regarding the 2022 borders, in my view, no one counts on them anymore. Expecting a return to these borders would be political blindness and a complete misunderstanding of what is happening," Lavrov said.
Earlier, after Trump met with Zelenskyy, he wrote on Truth Social that Ukraine could fully restore its territorial integrity with EU support and "go even further."
"I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form," Trump added.
Trump also said that Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years, arguing that a "true military power" would have achieved victory in a week, making Russia resemble a "paper tiger."
