On Sunday evening, December 7, Russian officials reported a fire in Krasnoyarsk. The incident occurred near the local thermal power plant, according to Russian Telegram channels.

Witnesses and ASTRA subscribers said they heard two explosions on Solnechnaya Street, near TPP-1. Footage of the fire later appeared online.

The Emergency Ministry in Krasnoyarsk Krai confirmed the fire and said several trucks were destroyed.

"Today at 10:25 PM (local time -ed.), we received a report of a fire in a garage box on Solnechnaya Street in the city of Krasnoyarsk. According to preliminary information, the fire destroyed four trucks. There were no casualties. At 11:14 PM, the fire was contained across an area of 850 square meters," the statement said.

Officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Other incidents involving TPP facilities in Russia

On October 31, the Ukrainian Navy said Ukrainian forces carried out missile strikes on the Oryol TPP and the Novobryansk substation, using Neptune missiles. According to the Navy, the targets supplied electricity to defense enterprises in the region.

On November 16, explosions also rocked the Russian city of Oryol. Local channels reported that the Oryol TPP might have been targeted again.

On December 6, Russian forces triggered a blackout in Belgorod. Russian media reported that a Russian aircraft "lost" a guided aerial bomb, which fell on a local substation and damaged it.
